• PREMARITAL WORKSHOPS - Before Saying I Do!!

    This is self-help workshop which includes self-analysis, gender differences, choosing the right partner, character traits, how to build a strong relationship, conflict resolution, wedding jitters and pre-marital counselling.
  • MENTAL HEALTH WEEK

    The Mental Health Week promotes social and emotional well-being to the community, encouraging people to maximize their health potential, enhancing the coping capacity of communities, families, individuals and increasing mental health recovery.

    Throughout the week different activities for doctors and patients are organized. The activities included are:

    1. Awareness programme for the caretakers of Schizophrenics.
    2. Dance
    3. Yoga/Gardening
    4. Games, Competitions - Chess and Carrom
    5. Art and Craft Activities.
    6. Therapeutic Activities
    7. LD Awareness Program – A talk by Dr. Nilesh Shah
    8. Poster making competition
    9. We also had an exhibition were articles made by our clients were displayed.
    10. Clients of other centres were also a part of this week
  • COUNSELOR ASSOCIATION OF INDIA ADDA MEETING

Professionals from various areas of mental health attended the ADDA meeting. Key issues like school counselling, inclusion, understanding learning disability and its diagnosis, observing professional role boundaries are discussed. The professionals share their views and experiences. Various problems, cases are also discussed and an attempt to find a solution is made.

  • CHRISTMAS PARTY

The centre celebrates Christmas and welcomes the New Year where the clients from Mann and clients from other centres play games and sing along with the Christmas Carols.

  • FIELD TRIP TO THE PRINCE OF WALES MUSEUM

Clients of the Day Care Centre are taken for a Field Trip to places like the Prince of Wales Museum. Field trip provides clients an alternative and engaging educational experience and helps them experience different cultures and history.

  • WORKSHOP ON DANCE MOVEMENT THERAPY

Dance movement therapy uses movement for the emotional, cognitive, physical and social integration of the individual. It is based on the premise that the body, mind and spirit are interconnected.

  • WORKSHOP ON PARENTAL SKILLS FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DISABILITY

This workshop helps parents understand the difficulties of their children better and suggests ways in which they can help their children cope with academics.
